Maria Praetzellis is a program manager for the Internet Archive's Web & Data Services programs and will speak about Internet Archive work on services for digital preservation and data storage including collaborations with LOCKSS. This includes new tools and services for easier distribution of web data, open data replication and decentralization, and using web harvesting for open knowledge preservation and access. The presentation will offer a brief introduction to web archiving at IA, explore the current limitations of the digital preservation environment, and give an overview of the LOCKSS/IA collaboration, and other collaborations, as a step towards a networked, integrated approach to preservation.
